- It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Episode Guide
Here is the top 25 rated episodes: The Highest Rated It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Episode. It is not really a surprise to me that the highest rated episode of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is Charlie Work. Charlie Work was a great episode and definitely my favorite. The 20 Best Thanksgiving TV Episodes, Ranked. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia's season 9 episode “The Gang Squashes Their Beefs” is one of the best Thanksgiving episodes of all time. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia has been around since 2005 and there's been 12 seasons, with a 13th one coming shortly. For most shows that have that long of a run things get stale after awhile.
15. 'The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award'
A metaphor for the show's unfathomable inability to win an Emmy, this episode sees the gang try to jazz up their bar for trendy millennials, but all comes crashing down as Charlie serenades their trendy crowd to a dark song, where the entire gang spit on their guests until they leave.
14. 'The Gang Goes to the Jersey Shore'
This one hits home for many Philadelphians, because most everyone has fond memories of vacationing in the summer at the Jersey Shore. Charlie's boardwalk misconceptions, along with his pursuit of the Waitress, and Dennis and Dee's misadventures make for a hysterical journey down the shore.
13. 'The High School Reunion Part 2: The Gang's Revenge'
Always Sunny In Philadelphia Netflix
Filmed at Mac's alma-mater, St. Joe's Prep Highschool in Philly, the reunion episode takes us back to when the gang was just a bunch of teenage losers. Seeing Dennis' inflated view of himself, culminating in his 'tools' from his trunk is fascinatingly funny. The dance routine at the end is iconic.12. 'How Mac Got Fat'
An episode of an episode that was never supposed to be aired, this sheds light on just why Mac thought it would be so funny to get fat for a season. Seeing Mac's confession to the priest while shoving food from his garbage bag down his throat is classic.
11. 'The Gang Goes on Family Fight'
This one is hilarious, in part because some families really do act like this on Family Feud. Seeing Dee starve herself to the point of fainting is great, and seeing Charlie's bizarre guesses turn out to be correct (because he was polled for the questions) is a funny twist. Dennis' extreme aversion to the buzzer noise, culminating with him in the fetal position after losing the money round is amazing.
10. 'Flowers for Charlie'
Written by Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, this episode chronicles Charlie after he believes he is a genius after taking a 'genius pill.' It ends up to be merely a placebo pill, and Charlie is just as stupid as we all knew him to be all along.
9. 'Old Lady House: A Situation'
This episode pits Mac and Charlie in a household shared between Mac's mom and Charlie's mom, in a reality TV show, complete with audience laughter. The misplaced laugh tracks and glances at the camera are quality entertainment.
8. 'Charlie Catches a Leprechaun'
This Saint Paddy's Day special is another classic episode. Seeing Charlie stick his tongue out to reveal he was drinking green paint, along with his trapping of a midget whom he believes to be a real life leprechaun are incredible. The Paddy Van essentially kidnapping customers is another great part of this episode.
7. 'Chardee Macdennis: A Game of Games'
A drinking game that will live on in infamy, Chardee Macdennis features crazy feats and intense binge drinking. Our favorite characters face off against eachother, doing everything they can to outdrink and outthink their opponents. The winner getting to destroy the other team's flag and action figure is comedic gold.
6. 'The Gang Gets Analyzed'
This episode pits the gang in a psychiatrist's office, where each character is analyzed. We really see the extent of Dennis' affliction of a sociopath here, as he reveals he has kept a medical file on each of the other members of the gang. This makes for some great back and forth with the psychiatrist.
5. 'Charlie Work'
An episode featuring Charlie's grunt work, running around and cleaning everything in order to pass a health inspection, doesn't seem all that exciting. However, the camera work and the way in which Charlie maneuvers around the building just in time is brilliantly funny.
4. 'Mac and Dennis Move to the Suburbs'
This episode is so funny because Mac and Dennis nail the stereotypical quarrels that take place between a husband and a suburban house wife. Seeing Dennis yell at Wally, followed by 'Oh that Wally, loves to say 'it's a hot one', when I already know it's a hot one!' is unforgettable.
3. 'The Nightman Cometh'
This episode is probably the most bizarre one to date, most likely because it is from Charlie's imagination. Frank's 'you got to pay the Troll Toll if you want to get in this boy's hole,' is one of the funniest sequences yet. The play's final song and dance routine is infamous.
2. 'The Gang Dines Out'
A simple concept, yet the most uniquely funny experience of the gang being unable to enjoy a meal without being dependent on eachother. The staring contest between Mac and Charlie will always be hilarious, and the misery they cause their poor waiter is too funny.
Always Sunny In Philadelphia Quotes
1. 'Reynolds vs Reynolds: The Cereal Defense'
Quite simply, the greatest and funniest It's Always Sunny episode in history. The simple fact a whole debate and trial case comes from Frank rear-ending Dennis, resulting in Dennis spilling milk all over his car's interior is funny in and of itself. But the real hilarity ensues when Mac begins to dispel science, stating 'Science is a Liar, sometimes,' after claiming great minds such as Gallileo and Aristotle as bitches.
The latest season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has finished, and its ten-episode run has been full of highs and lows. The question of whether Dennis would return or not was answered early on, the Gang attended the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl winning game, and the series finale brought an unusual touch to the show.
However, fans were divided on the quality of the 13th season, and some episodes did feel like a sharp decline for the usually incredible show.
This season of Sunny simply felt hindered in general. Although some truly great episodes were made, the overall quality and focus week in and week out dwindled, and the episodes that did not feature Dennis Reynolds definitely prove the strength of the show's cast as a whole is far greater than each individual. At times it felt like the show's usually high standards were slipping, but thankfully there were some true classics this season as well, giving fans hope that they can find their steady footing again for the already confirmed season 14.
10. The Gang Wins The Big Game
This episode has a few chuckles in it, and the real life video clip of series creator Rob McElhenney and his wife/co-star Kaitlin Olson celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles' victory is a joyous bonus, but overall the episode was pretty weak.
Without Dennis or Charlie accompanying Frank, Dee, and Mac to the biggest footballing game in Philadelphia's history, this episode feels like a missed opportunity, with the immense potential of the Gang going to the Super Bowl falling rather flat. Instead, their void is filled by a number of side characters, including The Waitress, Charlie's uncle Jack, Cricket, and Rex.
However, giving these side characters way too much screen time, and desperately missing the added chemistry that Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton could have brought to this scenario, means that this instalment is by far the weakest of the series. Air android for pc.
